UFSIN of the Russian Federation in the Kurgan region have additional sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures to prevent a new coronavirus infection

As of today, there are no correctional facilities in the region where restrictive measures (quarantine) for the new coronavirus infection have been introduced. In order to prevent the spread of the disease among suspects, accused and convicted persons, as well as employees of the penitentiary system, additional sanitary and anti-epidemic measures for short-term and long-term visits, parcels and packages, as well as for visits of citizens to correctional institutions are in effect in the penitentiary institutions of the region.

In accordance with the decree of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia from 15.04.2020 № 185 "On the introduction of additional sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures to prevent the emergence and spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" in all penal institutions of UFSIN of the Russian Federation in the Kurgan region every Friday is disinfected the premises. On this day, the movement of suspects, accused and convicted persons is prohibited, as well as visits to correctional institutions.

Short-term visits

Short-term visits take place in special rooms equipped with safety glass and intercom. It is mandatory for visiting relatives to have personal protective equipment (masks and gloves). In order to respect the social distance between citizens (not less than 1.5 meters) only one person is allowed on a short visit.

Long-term visits

Partial opening of long-term visits rooms is permitted, using no more than 30% of the rooms. Long visits with suspects, accused and convicted persons are carried out in compliance with additional sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures aimed at preventing the spread of a new coronavirus infection.

A mandatory condition for admission of citizens to a visit is the presence of an original certificate of a negative result of PCR-testing for a new coronavirus infection (within 2 days) with the stamp of the medical institution. Also, a medical certificate from a local therapist about the absence of quarantine for a new coronavirus infection, health status and epidemiological anamnesis (travel outside the Russian Federation, work in a nidus of a new coronavirus infection) is necessary.

Citizens with signs of acute respiratory illness are not allowed to visit. In the institution is organized entrance control of the state of health of visitors with the measurement of body temperature. It is excluded admission of citizens without personal respiratory protection (masks), hands (disposable gloves). Wearing masks on a long visit is mandatory. During the long visit, the body temperature of all participants will be measured twice a day. In case of violation of the procedure for the use of personal protective equipment and measures to prevent viral diseases, the visit will be terminated prematurely.

Additional measures have been introduced for the acceptance of parcels and packages

- Reception of things and items shall be carried out only in the manufacturer's packaging (original or factory packing);

- Reception of food - only in the manufacturer's packaging (original or factory packing with the indication of the shelf life of products and temperature storage mode), subject to wet treatment with the use of disinfectants recommended for use in respect of viral infections;

- It is forbidden to accept food products in bulk and without packaging.
