VACCINATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST NEW CORONAVIRUS INFECTION COVID-19 IS TAKING PLACE IN THE PENITENTIARY SYSTEM

Vaccination against a new coronavirus infection is carried out in institutions of the penal system. Currently, vaccination measures are being carried out in 63 territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the geographical coverage of vaccination of institutions and bodies of the penal correction system is constantly expanding.

Today, 17,934 people have been vaccinated among those held in penal institutions. Among the employees of the penal correction system - 13,880.

Before vaccination, each person is examined by a doctor to identify contraindications. Vaccination of employees is carried out in branches of the medical units of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, on the basis of vaccination points of state and municipal health institutions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation at the place of registration and at FKUZ of MSCh of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

As a matter of priority, this procedure is carried out by medical and pedagogical workers of penal correction institutions, as well as those employees who work directly with convicts.

Vaccination of suspects, accused and convicted persons is carried out in branches of the medical units of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, as well as by visiting brigades of state and municipal health institutions of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It should be noted that vaccination is voluntary, consists of 2 stages with a time interval of 3 weeks.
