UFSIN OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION ON MOSCOW REPORTS:
22.01.2021

In connection with the continued spread of a new coronavirus infection, as well as according to the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, regime-restrictive events continue to operate from 18.01.2021 to special instructions in subordinate institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow.

Reception of suspects, accused and convicted persons is carried out only in FKU SIZO-7 UFSIN of Russian Federation on Moscow, and reception of the arrested following in transit through the city of Moscow carries out FKU SIZO-12 UFSIN of Russian Federation on Moscow. In addition, all institutions of the capital have suspended the reception of transfers, except for transfers of medicines and medical supplies. Also during this period, the export of suspects, accused and convicted persons to court hearings and investigative actions is limited. The number of videoconferencing trials has therefore increased. At the same time, the provision of short and long dates to relatives and other persons with suspects, accused and convicted persons has been suspended.

In addition, the entrance into the territory of institutions of representatives of federal executive bodies, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, public monitoring commissions and other persons is limited. Investigators, interrogators and lawyers (defenders) will be able to visit suspects, accused and convicted persons in the rooms for short-term dates (through glass) with personal protective equipment (masks, shoe and gloves).

Such measures are dictated by the need to protect suspects, accused and convicted from infection in SIZO.

In addition, in order to prevent entry and the spread of diseases caused by coronavirus infection, a number of other sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) events are being organized and implemented in institutions of the penal system of the Russian Federation.
