In order to prevent the spread of infection among suspects, accused and convicted persons, as well as employees of the penitentiary system of the Russian Federation, was issued a resolution by the chief state sanitary doctor - head of the branch of the Central State Sanitary and Epidemiological Service No. restrictive measures aimed at countering the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the territory under the jurisdiction of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
In accordance with this resolution, from 11/23/2020 and until further notice, the provision of short-term visits has been suspended in institutions and pre-trial detention centers of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
The reception of postal parcels in the institutions of the FPS from relatives is organized by appointment.
Meetings with lawyers will be held in the premises of short-term meeting rooms (through glass), as before, only with personal protective equipment (respiratory protection masks and gloves).
Also, the admission of visitors with an elevated body temperature is strictly prohibited in the institutions of the UFSIN.
In case of detection of symptoms of illness or suspicion of a new coronavirus infection in persons held in prisons, organized a hospitalization to the institutions of state and municipal health systems. We ask the relatives of the suspects, the accused, and the convicted to treat with understanding the introduction of restrictive measures. Their cancellation will be announced additionally, including on the official website of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.
