UFSIN OF RUSSIAN FEDERATION ON THE IVANOVO REGION REPORTS

In prevention of spreading of illness among convicted, accused and suspected, and also employee of penalty system of Russian Federation chief state sanitary doctor of FKUZ MSCH-37 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia issued a resolution No. 12 on the introduction of additional sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) and restrictive activities aimed on counteraction of spreading of new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the territory of UFSIN of Russian Federation on the Ivanovo region.

According to this resolution since 21.12.2020 and until further notice in facilities of UFSIN of Russian Federation on the Ivanovo region the provision of long visits has been suspended.

Provision of short-term visits with convicted, suspected and accused with relatives, lawyers and other persons eligible for legal assistance will be carried out in the premises of the rooms of short-term visits, where there is glass, using personal protective equipment (masks, gloves or a skin antiseptic). In the event of violations of the procedure for using personal protective equipment by the parties, the meeting will be terminated immediately.

When deciding on the provision of short-term visits, it is imperative to be guided by the requirements of the decree of the Governor of the Ivanovo region dated March 17, 2020 No. 23-ug in terms of ensuring that persons arriving from other constituent entities of the Russian Federation are isolated at the place of residence (stay) for 14 days from the date of arrival in the Ivanovo region , in case of stay in the Ivanovo region for less than 14 days - during the entire period of stay. In the case when the period of stay in the Ivanovo region is less than 14 days, you must have with you a certificate of the absence of a new coronavirus infection (a document confirming the negative results of laboratory tests for a new coronavirus infection), issued no earlier than 3 days before the date entry into the territory of the Ivanovo region, or a medical document confirming the presence of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies.

Acceptance of postal parcels in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service from relatives will take place as usual.

Also, the admission of visitors with an elevated body temperature is strictly prohibited in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service.

We ask the relatives of the suspects, the accused, and the convicted to treat with understanding the introduction of restrictive measures. Their cancellation will be announced additionally, including on the official website of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia on the Ivanovo region.
