From that day on, only SIZO-7 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow will accept suspects, accused and convicts, and SIZO-12 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow will receive those arrested who are in transit through the city of Moscow.
The export of suspects, accused and convicted persons to court sessions and investigative actions is limited, the number of court sessions held using videoconferencing facilities increased.
The provision of short-term and long-term visits with relatives and other persons to suspects, accused and convicted persons has been suspended.
Entry into the territory of institutions of representatives of penitentiary institutions, executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, public observation commissions and other persons is restricted. Investigators, interrogators and lawyers will be able to visit suspects, accused and convicted persons in the rooms for short-term visits (through the glass), as before, with personal protective equipment (masks, shoe covers and gloves).
Employees of pre-trial detention centers will be transferred to a two-week work schedule from October 19. They will be allowed to serve after a medical examination and test results for coronavirus infection.
Such measures are dictated by the need to protect suspects, accused and convicted persons from infection in the pre-trial detention center.
In addition, in order to prevent the incidence and spread of diseases caused by coronavirus infection, a set of other sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures is being implemented in the institutions of the penal system of the Russian Federation.
