In connection with the ongoing spread of coronavirus infection and in accordance with the decree of the chief state sanitary doctor of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, from 07.10.2020 until the special guidance in the subordinate institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow, restrictive measures have been introduced.

The visits of the arrested by lawyers and other persons which entitled to provide them with legal assistance take place in the investigation rooms. Relatives will be able to carry out short-term visits with suspects, accused and convicted persons in the rooms for short-term visits through the glass by appointment in the electronic queue.

From 07.10.2020, parcels are also received by appointment in the electronic queue, observing a time interval of at least 30 minutes. It should be noted that all activities on the territory of institutions continue to be carried out only with the use of personal protective equipment (masks for respiratory protection, shoe covers and gloves).

For the duration of the restrictive measures, long visits with convicts serving sentences in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Moscow are suspended.

Also, from October 7, all movements within the territory of institutions of representatives of federal executive bodies, executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Public Observatory Commission and other persons are restricted.

Such measures are dictated by the need to protect suspects, accused and convicted persons from infection in the pre-trial detention center.

In addition, in order to prevent the incidence and spread of diseases caused by coronavirus, a set of sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures is being implemented in the institutions of the penal system of the Russian Federation.
