Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Viktor Fisenko visited correctional colony №2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan

The event was also attended by the First Deputy Head of the medical department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia Colonel of the Internal Service Irina Larionova, Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Dagestan, Colonel of the Internal Service Andrei Polyakov, Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Research Center for phthisiopulmonology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Vadim Testov, Head of correctional colony №2 of the Federal Penitentiary Service Russia in the Republic of Dagestan, lieutenant colonel of the internal service Rauf Gabibov.

Within the framework of the meeting, questions were considered on providing the institutions of the penitentiary system with personal protective equipment, medicines and disinfectants.

Particular attention is paid to issues related to the routing of sick persons from among the suspects, accused and convicted to medical organizations of the penal correction system and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Dagestan for their examination and treatment.

Specialists of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Scientific Research Center for Phthisiopulmonology and Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation provided, among other things, advisory assistance to the Hospital branch of medical unit № 5 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in re-profiling the existing COVID-19 infection detection laboratory, which will open soon and will significantly increase the number of test persons.

Participants of the event noted a high level of interagency cooperation on the organization of training and deployment of the bed fund of medical organizations of the penal correction system for the reception and treatment of patients with diseases caused by the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, and the training of medical personnel.

According to the results of the meeting, the readiness of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service institutions for measures to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in penitentiary institutions and coordination of interagency cooperation was noted.
