As of May 25, 2020, in 47 territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, among the suspects, accused, convicts held in the penitentiary system, there is no a single case of the disease caused by a new coronavirus infection COVID-19 was recorded: in the city of Zafaikalsky (ZFSN) of Russia according to Zabaykalsky Kamchatka, Primorsky, Khabarovsk, Altai, Krasnodar, Stavropol Territories, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra, Altai Republics, Tyva, Khakassia, Buryatia, Sakha (Yakutia), Komi, Adygea, Kalmykia, Ingushetia, KCR, Mordovia, Mordovia Udmurtia, Chechen Republic, Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Ulyanovsk, Kurgan, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Amur, Magadan, Sakhalin, Arkhangelsk, Vologda, Kaliningrad, Bryansk, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Smolensk, Tambov, Volga, Tambov, Rostov, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara regions, Kemerovo region - Kuzbass.

To date, the number of laboratory-confirmed cases of diseases caused by COVID-2019, among suspected, accused and convicted persons is 238 cases, among employees and employees of the department - 980 cases. At the same time, 87 people from the number of suspects, accused, convicted and 405 employees of the penal correction system recovered.

More than 52 thousand laboratory tests for a new coronavirus infection were carried out in institutions and bodies of the penitentiary system, of which more than 24 thousand were conducted in prisons laboratories.

In this situation, the Federal Penitentiary Service organizes all necessary measures to prevent the spread of diseases caused by a new coronavirus infection in prisons. A set of necessary sanitary and anti-epidemic (preventive) measures has been organized. Round-the-clock monitoring and control of the epidemiological situation in institutions and organs of the penal correction system is carried out.
