A NEW PCR LABORATORY OPENED ON THE BASIS OF HOSPITAL AT CC-3 UFSIN OF RUSSIA FOR THE KABARDINO-BALKAR REPUBLIC

In the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in the branch of the Hospital FBHI MSI-7 Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the PCR-laboratory was opened - a laboratory that allows testing, including for a new coronavirus infection.

The authorities of FBHI MSI-7 Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the medical staff of this institution took a part in this event.

This laboratory has all the necessary equipment, employees underwent special training on the basis of the Office of Rospotrebnadzor in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic. The capacity of this laboratory allows up to 44 studies per shift.

If a positive result for a new coronavirus infection is detected, tests will be sent for further research to the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic for final confirmation of the diagnosis.

“The introduction of a new coronavirus infection test into the institution’s research base will help diagnose diseases at an early stage, with high accuracy, including with latent forms,” said the head of the branch of the Hospital FBHI MSI-7Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, Col. Natalia Molorodova.

It should be noted that currently there are no suspects, accused, and convicts held in prisons in the republic who have contracted a new coronavirus infection.
